It is a rhythm.
A Jewel's Rest Circle is a small, intimate summer experience for women who are ready to stop treating rest like a reward and start practicing it like a habit. Each circle focuses on a different area of rest and may include rest education, guided reflection, journaling, breathwork, creative rest, grounding, gentle movement, and sound-supported rest.
Every session is two hours.
Fully guided.
Fully intentional.
This is not a safe space. And it is not a brave space either. Those terms have been borrowed, rebranded, and handed back to us with fine print.
What this is Jewels, is a real space. A Sacred space.
No unsolicited advice.
No fixing.
No performing.
You come as you are, you tell the truth if you want to, and you leave with what is yours. Dr. MaKesha holds the container. The women hold each other.
That is it.
We meet monthly throughout the summer. Each circle builds on the last. By the end of the summer, you will not just know what rest looks like for YOUR lifestyle, you will have practiced it AND will continue to do so with collective support.
Each session will be held at a private residence in Shiloh, IL.
We will begin SHARPLY at 6:00pm and end at 8:00pm.
All materials needed for each session will be provided.
Your only job is to show up ready to receive.
Session 1 — Friday, June 26th
What Survival Cost You
(This circle is full. Join us for Session 2 on July 24th.)
Most wellness spaces skip the truth about what this moment is actually doing to your body. We didn't.
The economy is not just a financial crisis. It is a nervous system crisis. And a lot of the advice the world keeps giving you was never designed with you in mind. Session 1 opened there — with honesty — before offering anything else.
We used science, including a personal aura scan with guest practitioner Anne Marie, to show each woman what her body was holding before a single word of instruction was spoken. We looked at what Scripture says about rest as a sacred right, not a reward. And we began the honest, soulful work of coming back to a body that has been carrying too much for too long.

Name What You're Carrying
Tired is not one thing. Most women know something is off. They just don't have the language for it yet. This session gives you that language — the specific kind of depletion that sleep doesn't fix, that a vacation doesn't touch, that nobody around you can quite see.
We go deeper in Session 2. Science, Scripture, and circle — looking at how unprocessed emotional and mental weight lives in the body, and doing the honest work of naming what you've been carrying.
We're also joined by Yvette Smith, licensed esthetician, who will speak to how stress shows up on the skin. Every woman leaves with a small skin care kit to begin her own practice at home. And Dr. Harris Lee will guide the group through mirror work — a practice in seeing yourself clearly and with compassion. Beautiful hand mirrors included.
This session requires preparation. That's intentional.
Every registered woman receives the Rest Literacy Starter Kit ($37 value) before July 24th — a 7-day journey you complete on your own time. You'll walk in already knowing your primary rest deficit. We don't explain the framework in session. We use it to go deeper.

Something Softer
You've seen what your body is holding. You've named what you've been carrying. Now we start building something different.
Not hustling. Not optimizing. Building a life that actually feels like you. One that signals safety to your nervous system instead of survival. Session 3 is about giving yourself permission to want something quieter, slower, and deeply your own.
We explore what it means to move without forcing. To let your body soften into motion instead of pushing through it. We welcome a special guest, Qi Gong instructor Nancy Knickerbocker, who will guide us through a 40-minute practice of slow, breath-led movement. Qi Gong reminds the body of something many of us have forgotten, that energy doesn't have to be chased. It can be gathered gently, on purpose, with care.
We look at what it means spiritually to stop striving and start receiving. And we let ourselves feel, with all our senses, what creative rest actually looks like when the body is allowed to slow all the way down.
You cannot grip your breath into deepening. You cannot rush your body into calm. That's the whole message.
In Session 4, everything lands. You'll bring it all together, and you'll be able to see, with your own eyes, what this journey did for your body.

She Came Home
This is where everything lands.
Across four months, you have seen what your body was holding, named what you were carrying, and begun building something that feels like rest. Session 4 brings it all together into a personal rest rhythm you can actually sustain. Not just for this season, but for the ones ahead.
We will be introduced to an ancient practice rooted in feminine healing. One that Black women have used for generations to return to their bodies and restore from the inside out.
We will experience a sacred sound ritual using tuning forks, an invitation to pause, listen, and return to the rhythm of yourself before you step into what comes next.
We will close in circle, speaking aloud what we are reclaiming.
And we will end where we began, with your aura scan. So you can see with your own eyes what four months of intentional rest did for your body, your energy, and your spirit.

She showed up to the first Jewel's Rest Circle session carrying more than she said out loud. Here's what she left with. This is one client's honest account of what it looked like to sit down, get quiet, and name what she'd been carrying for years. No script. No performance. Just a woman telling the truth about what rest actually did for her.
